LCS/AI Duck Squad to the Rescue

On Tuesday, June 1, 1999, the signs of spring were in full bloom at Technology Square. A mother duck and ten ducklings somehow found their way to the courtyard at Technology Square, where the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science (LCS) and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (AI) are housed.

After her babies were herded into a box - easier said than done - Mama Duck was more than willing to follow the box, voicing her opinion all the while. From Tech Square the Duck Squad headed across campus stopping traffic on both Main and Vassar Streets to let Mama cross.
